Lyra Lender Services provides the full spectrum of services related to the SBA Process. We have developed a simple process that complements the lending partner’s existing infrastructure allowing for maximum efficiency during the entire process.
Eligibility Determination: Since we work directly
with SBA daily, we are more aware of upcoming trends within the SBA
underwriting and approval process than most if not all of the rest of
the industry. A brief conversation with one of our experts will determine
if a loan is eligible for SBA financing or not.
Underwriting and Approval: Once we have determined if a loan is eligible for SBA financing, we will work with the lender’s underwriting and approval staff to make sure that it is underwritten and approved by the lender in a manner consistent with SBA’s policies and procedures.
Loan Packaging: Once the loan is approved at the bank level, Lyra Lender Services takes over, we will complete all of the forms required for SBA approval and obtain the approval for the lender regardless of the processing method. We have full processing expertise in both General Processing and Preferred Processing.
Loan Closing: Lyra Lender Services works directly with the lender's closers or outside counsel, the borrower, and SBA to ensure an SBA Compliant closing.
Secondary Market Sales: Lyra Lender Services will sell your loans on the secondary market, manage the settlement and Gain on Sale Accounting process for your institution.
Ongoing Servicing and Workout: Lyra Lender Services will continue to support the lender after the loan has closed and will provide assistance to the lender on an ongoing basis as various required actions arise ranging from restructuring loan terms, release of collateral, change in ownership, adding/releasing collateral etc. In the event a loan goes into default, Lyra Lender Services will work with the lender to make sure the Guaranty purchase process is adhered to and the Guaranty is honored by SBA. All of the above services are included in our unique model. For loans that Lyra Lender Services processes there will never be an additional charge.
Additional Services included in our platform:
Training: Lyra Lender Services will provide training to the appropriate staff within the lending institution in order to maximize existing lender infrastructure and the SBA Portfolio. Training includes but is not limited to: Eligibility Determination, Underwriting, 1502 compliance and submission, ongoing servicing and workout.
Branch Model: Lyra Lender Services has developed a unique “Branch Model” with the expectation of providing training and developing loan volume from individual Brand Managers and Staff. Many institutions do not leverage the existing Branch network which can be a very profitable source of SBA revenue all by utilizing existing infrastructure.
Audit Support: Lyra Lender Services will assist the lender onsite during audits both internal and regulatory. We will provide file review and support, and supply any information requested by the relevant auditor. We will also work with your internal compliance department to ensure that all internal documents are regulatory compliant.
SBA 504: Lyra Lender Services works directly with various CDC's within our lending footprint. We will provide upfront eligibility, structuring and packaging functions mentioned above relative to the SBA. Our expertise in all of SBA's products provides the bank with extremely competitive SBA capabilities by leveraging our experience.
A-La-Carte Services: A-La-Carte services are negotiated on a case by case basis depending on the scope and depth of the services required.
Portfolio Review: Lyra Lender Services can provide portfolio review of existing SBA portfolios providing the lender with a confidence level of what a portfolio is worth as well as the expected duration of the existing portfolio. We have successfully reviewed existing SBA portfolios when our clients have been looking to acquire the individual loan, portfolio or bank.
